About the Project

The Ubon Ratchathani High-Value Tourism Promotion Project for Indian and South Asian tourists is an initiative supported by the Ubon Ratchathani University's India Studies Center, funded by the university's Science Park for regional development. The project aims to elevate and position Ubon Ratchathani as a high-value tourism destination for Indian and South Asian visitors, promoting tourism and the local economy. It also serves as part of cultural linkage between people and supports the development of sister city relationships between Ubon Ratchathani and key Indian cities in the future. Key outcomes include defining Ubon Ratchathani's tourism identity and routes through workshops and simulation activities, in collaboration with government, private sector, and educational institutions. This project has been ongoing since 2023.
